Conventional Names Gazetteer

Abstract

The gazetteer supplement contains 900 entries for populated places and other features on a world-wide basis exclusive of the United States and its dependencies. This selected listing is designed to bring together all geographic entities for which the Board on Geographic Names has approved a conventional form of the name. The names in this gazetteer supersede those in all previous Board lists for the entities concerned.
