A Minimax Layout Problem on the Line Involving Distances Between Classes of Objects.
Abstract
A minimax layout problem on the line is considered for which the objective function depends upon the distances between classes of objects to be laid out. A closed form answer is obtained, as well as necessary and sufficient conditions for a layout to be a minimax layout. (Author)
