The Single Crystal Scintillation Spectrometer (with Organic Phosphorous),

Abstract

The report states a method for measuring the spectra of ionizing radiations by a scintillation spectrometer with one organic phosphor, which makes it possible, particularly in a mixed radiation field, to discriminate the gamma-quanta during the registration of neutrons, or the neutrons in the case of gamma-radiation detection. A description is given of the mechanism of the light flash formation in an organic scintillator, the operating principle, schematic solutions, tuning, the calibration of the spectrometer, its energy and dynamic ranges, energy resolutions, and optimal operating conditions.
