Study of Optimum Pulse Transmission through a Dispersion Medium.

Abstract

The propagation of electromagnetic signals through ionized media was studied with the goal of relating characteristics of transmitted signals to the physical properties of gaseous plasmas. In particular, methods of optimum transmission were considered using a knowledge of the dispersive and nondeterministic properties of naturally occurring ionized media such as the ionosphere.
