Natural-Draft Cooling Tower,

Abstract

The invention is concerned with heat-exchangers and in particular cooling towers; it can be used for cooling circulating water at thermal electric power stations. The proposed cooling tower differs from the existing types in that the first stage of the sprinkler is installed in an annular cantilever gallery and is made with a pan for collection and supply of the water into flumes of the second stage, which are located on the same level with it. This makes it possible to increase cooling effectiveness. To improve the supply of air to the second stage, the lower base of the gallery is made with multiple louvers.
