Management by Exception for the Army Battalion.

Abstract

The basic question is whether management by exception, using management science techniques can be feasibly employed at Army battalion level to improve the efficiency of the management portion of the command function. A definition of management by exception was developed and used in a questionnaire. A management study at NASA was also included. A literature search was used to support the need for management by exception at the battalion level. (Modified author abstract)
