An Investigation into the Methods of Detecting Dewetted Zones in Solid Rocket Propellants Using Holographic Interferometry.
Abstract
An investigation was conducted into the possibility of visually detecting a dewetted zone in a solid rocket propellant through the use of holographic interferometry. Techniques used were simple strain, residual strain and time-average holography. As a basis for comparison with experimental data a finite element program was used to model the test samples. (Author)
