FORTRAN Subroutines to Evaluate, in Single or Double Precision, Bessel Functions of the First and Second Kinds for Orders Zero and One and Complex Arguments.

Abstract

Subroutines have been written in FORTRAN for the CDC-3600/3800 to evaluate Bessel Functions of the first and second kinds for orders zero and one and complex arguments. Two versions were written in single precision; one uses complex arithmetic and the other uses only real arithmetic. The single precision subroutine discussed in this report is the one using only real arithmetic. To avoid the necessity of using a complex double precision arithmetic package, the double precision subroutine employs only real double precision arithmetic. That is, floating point double precision arithmetic is used separately on the real and imaginary parts of the complex quantities. (Author)
