The Theater Oriented Depot Complex-TODC.
Abstract
The monograph addresses the need for major improvements in the Army's CONUS based depot structure. It maintains that CONUS depots configured in geographic complexes, each oriented toward the support of a particular theater of operations (Theater Oriented Depot Complex-TODC) are the foundation of the Army's new Direct Supply Support (DSS) System. It asserts that DSS will become the way of life for Defense logisticians in the 70's, and points out that traditional depot modernization planning has been too shallow and constrained to meet the challenge.
