A Monte Carlo Method for Fitting 57Fe Mossbauer Spectra.

Abstract

A convenient, systematic, and inexpensive procedure for determining values for the hyperfine parameters H(hf), delta E(Q), eta, theta, and psi consistent with a 57Fe Mossbauer spectrum is described. Only line position information is used in this procedure. H(hf) and /delta E(Q)/ are determined analytically, while values for the remaining parameters are found by use of a FORTRAN 4 Monte Carlo search program. (Author)
