The Japanese-American Evacuation from the West Coast, and the Manhattan Project: Two of the Many Problems with Which the Army Was Confronted between 1938 through 1945.

Abstract

The study supports the Army Tasks of the Seventies, project. Research was done on the period from 1938 through 1945 to determine what tasks, roles, or lessons in that period were pertinent to the Army's role in this decade. Material was gathered through a literature search on two subjects: The decision in 1942 to evacuate Japanese-Americans, and the Manhattan Project. (Modified author abstract)
