The Last Days of Che Guevara.

Abstract

The basic format is that of a recounting of the final days of the guerrilla campaign against Che Cuevara by the members of the U. S. trained Bolivian 2d Ranger Battalion. Longer and more complete accounts of the entire campaign are available but there always has been a lack of detail for the final days and death of the guerrilla hero, Che. Coupled with accounts of low-level unit tactics the final hours of Che's life are described by the actual Bolivian officers and men concerned. The reasons for failure of the campaign are recounted and can serve the purpose of forming a basis for deeper study and research. (Author)
