The Army Medical Department's Ambulatory Health Care Program.

Abstract

The past twenty years have witnessed a growing recognition by the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) of its responsibilities for providing comprehensive health care. This has been particularly evident during the past five years, in the area of ambulatory health care services. The report reviews the historical changes of the past twenty years and presents four general areas of consideration that seem to offer the greatest potential for future AMEDD planning and direction.
