The Application of Spectroscopy to Non-Equilibrium Energy Distributions Produced in Disturbed and Contaminated Atmsopheres.

Abstract

The report describes research leading to measurement of the energy level populations for vibrationally and rotationally excited hydrogen fluoride formed during simple atom-molecule reactions. Trajectory calculations using LEPS surfaces and infrared chemiluminescence techniques have been employed. Some studies of the high resolutuon photoelectron spectra of transient species are also described. (Author)
