Abstract

A comprehensive review of Navy exploratory and advanced development research leading to operational status of the Navy Occupational Task Analysis Program (NOTAP) is presented. Collection, processing, analysis, and application of NOTAP data are special subjects covered in detail. A brief review of the history of military occupational analysis is included. Task analysis methodology and application of techniques in the other military services and the United States Coast Guard are summarized. (Author)
