Abstract

Work was performed in the following areas: Compositional and structural modification of glassy carbon by addition of iron; Spherulitic glassy carbon; Infiltration of glassy carbons with open macroporosity with CVD carbon; Laser Raman studies on carbons; and Preparation and characterization of binary carbon-based glasses by RF-sputtering.
