Establishment of the Vertical Humidity Profile to the Vertical Temperature Profile,

Abstract

In temperature sounding of the atmosphere by examining of absorption bands of carbon dioxide and molecular oxygen, it is necessary to take into account the attenuation of radiation by water vapor. The data obtained from radiosondes show that the vertical profiles of temperature and humidity in the atmosphere are closely interconnected. An empirical formula was proposed which correlates the change in moisture with the change in temperature and altitude.
