Simultaneous Determination of Inulin and Para-Aminohippuric Acid in Plasma and Urine by an Automated Technique.

Abstract

An automated technique is described for the simultaneous determination of inulin and para-aminohippuric acid in plasma and urine. Inulin is determined by the indolylacetic acid reaction in the presence of concentrated hydrochloric acid. Para-aminohippuric acid is determined by coupling diazotized para-aminohippuric acid with N-(1-naphthyl) ethylenediamine hydrochloride. Details for manifold construction, studies of glucose interference, and recovery data are presented. (Author)
