Gas-Phase Oxidation of Aluminum Atoms

Abstract

The report very briefly discusses the author's research on the chemiluminescent reaction Al + O3 yielding AlO* + O2. Also developed was a new technique for detecting reaction products using laser-induced fluorescence which was applied to study the ground state BaO molecules formed in the reaction Ba + O2 to BaO + O.
