Mobile Power Distribution Unit for High Voltages,

Abstract

The patent describes a rail-mounted three-phase mobile open distribution unit operating on 220 KV mounted on transportable platforms and containing a power transformer, disconnector units, separator units, a shorting switch, and dischargers. In order to reduce dimensions of the unit, the unit is made with single phase units, one of which is mounted to one side of the power transformer platform, and the other two of which are mounted on the other side. Purpose of the unit is as a step-down station from a 220 KV supply.
