Military Programs Analysis. An Approach to Long Range Planning.

Abstract

The problem of control and forecasting of major military hardware contracts becomes more difficult as their complexity increases. This paper proposes a broad method of making a first pass analysis of a proposal considering variables of cost, time, performance, design, technology and use. The use of this model will enable the military planner to quickly eliminate unsuitable alternatives and channel his in-depth analysis in the right direction. The approach can also be used for long-range forecasting of military hardware costs. (Author)
