The Negro Marine in the Coming Decade--A Time of Testing for the Marine Corps.

Abstract

The problem was to identify elements of racial discord in the Marine Corps and to determine means to achieve racial harmony. Factors in the society, and within the Corps, which contribute to the problem were examined. Information was gathered from current sociological literature, speakers and panelists, radical black authors, the white and black press, and by interviews with Marine officials, enlisted Marines, and fellow students at AWC.
