Leadership: Academic Research of Theory.
Abstract
The report analyzes the academic and theoretical elements which are fundamental to the make-up of an effective leader vis-a-vis the task to be accomplished, the situation, and his interaction with those who are being led. Emphasis is on the human factors which bind groups of individuals together for job accomplishment and the interpersonal aspects of influence, power, communication and leadership traits which constitute the make-up of knowledgeable and effective leaders. Trends and future demands of leadership are discussed in relation to the advancing complexities of civilization brought about by rapid changes in technology, increased education, the population explosion, and the innate desire of man to participate in the control and management of job accomplishment.
