Ethiopa - What Will Happen When Emperor Haile-Selassie Goes.

Abstract

The paper explores the political future of Ethiopia following the demise of Emperor Haile-Selassi I. Ethiopia has experienced an enviable degree of political stability during his reign. It is in the United States national interest that Ethiopia continue as a stable and independent nation, because of Ethiopia's strategic geographic position. Data were gathered using a literature search and study. The essay identifies the internal elements of power that may threaten the stability of Ethiopia. (Modified author abstract)
