Abstract

Department of Defense present stockage practices result in the excessive and wasteful stockage of relatively unimportant concept for the 1970's time frame. This concept assesses the possibility that military supplies might be more efficiently inventoried by pertinent characteristics, or specialities, rather than as at present by commodities or by dollar value measurement. Research included development of a bibliography of subject material available at Defense Logistics Studies Information Exchange and at the Defense Supply Agency. (Modified author abstract)
