Synthesis of Epoxy Resins for Property-Structure Studies,

Abstract

The preparation and thermal characteristics of twelve epoxy resins designed to a wide spread of properties are described. The epoxy monomers include diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA), resorcinol diglycidyl ether (RDGE), and butanediol diglycidyl ether (BDGE). Curing agents include 1,3-Propanediamine (PDA), 1,6-Hexanediamine (HDA), 1,12-Dodecanediamine (DDA), and m-phenylenediamine (MPDA).
