The DSIS Report Search Code Study.

Abstract

There is a duplication of coverage between material in the internally generated DSIS data base, and bibliographic data received from the National Technical Information Service and the Defense Documentation Center of the United States. The study is aimed at the development of a unique report search code that can be automatically generated by computer from bibliographic data available in machine readable form. A success rate of 85-90% in identifying duplicate material using this code for data matching purposes, was achieved. (Author)
