The Use of Optimal Coordinates in the Solution of Viscous Flow Problems,

Abstract

The idea of optimal coordinates, which was first developed by Kaplun (1954) and later extended by Legner (1971), is extended further in the present work and is used to analyze several viscous flow problems. Optimal coordinates are found for incompressible flow past wedges and cones and for supersonic compressible flow past a flat plate. (Author)
