To Apply Systems Science Concepts to Biology.

Abstract

Three new themes are introduced: (1) specific neurophysiological ways in which the mind of man differs from other animals, leading to such abstractions as values and warfare; (2) a liquid kinetic theory of transport, and its experimental test for membrane flow at channel sizes down to 15 A; (3) a hydrodynamically functional thesis on how form and size parameters are linked to cardiovascular parameters in mammals, and thus how mammalian design is governed. A brief outline of the principles of organization that elaborated is presented. (Author)
