Analysis for a Naval Air Rework Facility (NARF) One-for-One Exchange Inventory and Repair System.
Abstract
In the report a one-for-one exchange inventory and exchange system is analyzed. The analysis is approached at two levels. First, an overall approach to descriptive modeling of the system is taken. In this context it is seen that the system can be viewed as an M/G/infinity queueing system, and appropriate results are given. Second, the system is approached with the purpose of exploring possible means of exercising control in an actual operating system. Procedures for the application of control are developed, which could form the basis for a management information and control system. (Author)
