1. Desegregation--Does it Improve Pupil Achievement. 2. Communist Propaganda in Vietnam.

Abstract

The study investigates the effects of school desegregation on pupil achievement, with the focus on black students displaced to formerly segregated schools. Data from Federal desegregation studies and desegregation case studies were reviewed. It is concluded that, in general, desegregation improves the achievement of black students and does not adversely affect the achievement of white students. The acceptance by teachers of the case for desegregation and parental attitudes are critical to the process. (Modified author abstract)
