Cavity Draining Device for Aircraft Fuel System Components,

Abstract

In the device described, for the purpose of increasing reliability of operation, decreasing labor consumption and simplifying operation of it, the tip of the pipe is made in the form of a bolt with a central hole through it. With this, one end of the bolt has a faired flat head with a flat surface for a wrench and a drain cock with a taper, and the other has threads on its outer surface and cone providing connection of the pipeline to it. The outer panel is rigidly connected to the inner framing, for instance for spar rail, with the bolt-tip.
