Observation of Ferroelectric Domains with a Scanning Electron Microscope.

Abstract

Ferroelectric domains are observed in several high resistivity ferroelectric crystals. High contrast observations are made with a commercial SEM in the secondary electron emission mode. Uncoated, as-grown crystal surfaces produce the highest contrast observations at the SEM resolution limit. The results recommend the SEM method as a practical technique for ferroelectric domain observations. (Author)
