An Evaluation of the SHIP II Total Ship Simulation Model

Abstract

The report evaluates SHIP II, a total ship manpower simulation model developed under advanced development funding. All previous research applications were reviewed and the data were used to evaluate the model in terms of comprehensive criteria which included validity (predictive and construct), sensitivity, reliability, utility, and practicality. It appears that SHIP II has enough potential utility to the Navy for further investigation.
