The Army Security Assistance Program in PACOM.
Abstract
The trend in U. S. foreign policy, new DOD structure for management of security assistance and reduced military presence in PACOM point to a renewed era of emphasis on security assistance programs. Policies and procedures relative to organization, training, military programs, foreign military sales and finances are examined. It is concluded that security assistance requires continued high priority attention in the interests of national security and to promote peace and stability in Asia. (Modified author abstract)
