On the Localization of Eigenstates in One Dimensional Disordered Chains.

Abstract

A new method is presented that permits the direct calculation of a localization parameter for the wave functions in any type of one-dimensional disordered potential chain. The results agree with previous work, and extension to chains of coupled one dimensional oscillators and electromagnetic waves in stratified media appears to be possible. (Author)
