On Marine Geodesy--From Materials of the General Assembley of the IUSS (15th) (O Morskoi Geodezii--Po Materialam XV Generaloi Assamblei MGGS),

Abstract

The paper discusses marine geodesy; namely, that part of geodesy which has the mission of studying methods of measurement in order to obtain the mutual positions of points at sea and the aqueous environment. It takes into consideration the methods for the processing of acquired measurements; examination of the problems of the determination of the earth's form and dimensions; studying the variations of the earth's figure and gravitational field associated with the influence of internal and external processes taking place in the earth and beyond its limits.
