SURV System: A Collection of Programs for Surface Viewing.

Abstract

SURV is a collection of FORTRAN programs for the manipulation and display of parameteric surfaces. The present implementation uses a Tektronix 4010 graphics display terminal which communicates with a time-shared DEC PDP 10. The programs of SURV call upon a set of FORTRAN programs available through Tektronix called Terminal Control System. Even though the implementation of this system is not limited to the above configuration, this report will deal only with the present implementation. SURV provides the user with the ability to conveniently define and view selected portions of a parametrically defined surface. The command language is simple yet versatile. Defining such items as rotation matrices and viewing windows is made rather simple for the user. (Author)
