The Role of the Army in American Society in the 1970's.

Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to define a role for the Army in American society in the 1970's. The objective is to examine briefly the current societal environment, with emphasis on the national setting, to determine the implications of forces, trends, and issues in that environment upon the Army's function as a societal institution.
