Potential Conflict Prediction and Associated Functions for Oceanic Air Traffic Control Automation.

Abstract

Algorithms to determine potential conflicts over an ocean airspace based on given vertical, lateral, and longitudinal separation criteria were developed. Additional algorithms to handle special cases have yet to be developed. Associated functions used by air traffic controllers to resolve conflict situations are also described.
