Abstract

The author compares the cost of living with the costs of health care in the United States. Discusses current health care delivery and explores future systems. The hypothesis developed is: as health care costs increase, the role of the public sector in health care delivery increases. Data was developed from academic journals, periodicals, government documents, and newspapers. Charts and graphs are used to summarize essential data.
