Abstract
The reference book contains descriptions of the basic structural elements of cables, wires, and cords, the bases of electrical calculation of cables and wires, and a brief description of the structures and characteristics of the basic cables, wires, and cords produced by the cable industry of the USSR. The reference book presents data on the permissible loads in cables and wire, and basic recommendations on areas of application of the cables and wires produced. Data are also presented on cable packaging and methods of testing cables and wires. The supplement to the reference book presents auxiliary tables for calculating cables, wires and cords.
