Unsteady Gas Dynamics Problems and Aeroelastic Applications Related to Flight Vehicles.

Abstract

The report reviews the accomplishments made during the period of five years from 1 January 1968 through 31 December 1972 at Stanford University in a program of research on unsteady aerodynamics related to flight vehicles, and on associated aeroelastic problems. Over 20 reports have been completed during the course of the research with the purpose to improve analysis and design of high-performance aircraft. The impact on the scientific and engineering community of research done under this project has been significant and is a measure of important contributions supported by AFOSR.
