The Mechanism of Exoelectron Emission from Solid Surfaces.

Abstract

The results of a 15-month study of the mechanisms responsible for exoelectron emission are described in the final report. Included are: (1) a literature review, (2) descriptions of exoelectron imaging techniques, an ultrahigh vacuum system for exoelectron studies, and a retarding potential analyzer for energy distribution measurement of exoelectron emission, (3) a discussion of a new exoelectron phenomenom in pyroelectric materials, (4) outline of work planned for the future, and (5) publications.
