Tests for Recall Ability.

Abstract

Two tests are discussed, for testing statistically whether a subject, given a list of words in mixed categories, tends to recall them in groups by category. One of the tests has already appeared in the literature, and some related mathematical results are given; it is suggested that there might be occasions when the other test is more appropriate for the problem.
