Strategic Disposition Tests and the Influence of Learning Strategy on the Performance and Breakdown of Skills.

Abstract

The project has been concerned with (1) designing a test battery to determine an individual's preferred learning and performance strategy and (2) investigating task breakdown under load induced stress; in particular, examining the influence of an individual's strategic disposition on his ability to fall back upon previously learned modes of performance. Test procedures have been specified and their reliability and validity are evaluated empirically. A stress task has been designed and the necessary equipment constructed. (Author)
