Ventilation Systems Standards Analysis.
Abstract
The report is divided into three sections, Proposed Federal Standards, Technical Analysis of these Proposed Standards Elements and Compliance Testing Considerations. The Proposed Federal Standards Elements apply to boats having enclosed engine and fuel compartments using a fuel with a flash point of less than 110F. The Technical Analysis discusses the elements and lists the source on which each standard was derived in each section. Compliance Testing Considerations discusses the various methods that could be employed and whether a test is required or a visual inspection would fulfill the test requirement. (Author)
