A Structural Analysis of a Multiconductor Cable.

Abstract

A structural analysis employing finite elements is applied to a multiconductor armored cable with good results. The interactions of the cable components, i.e., armor, conductors, and plastics, are determined. Good correlation is shown between the analytic results and a test. The cable kink problem is also discussed.
