Base Pressure behind Flat Bodies during Diffusion Near-Wake Combustion,

Abstract

A method and results are given for computing base pressure behind flat bodies during diffusion near-wake combustion. The method makes it possible to consider the effect of combustion on the rate profile in the mixing zone, and thus to more exactly determine the necessary parameters on the dividing (zero) flow line for computing the base pressure. The base pressure is considered according to the Korst method. As an example base pressure is considered during the combustion of hydrogen and carbon monoxide in air.
