Generalized Information Retrieval Language (GIRL): User's Guide,

Abstract

The Generalized Information Retrieval Language permits the non-computer-oriented person to access, select, sort, print and summarize records that are established on tape, cards, or disk. This means that a trained user can define and structure the report that will best serve his needs. The user can code the English language statements that will specify the information desired on a particular report. (Author)
